Areas of Expertise
I have been a Speech-Language-Pathologist for over 30 years, specializing in adults with Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson's Disease, Cancer, and Vocal Cord Impairments. My areas of specialty include language and cognitive impairments, and voice and swallowing difficulties. After many years of hospital work, I branched out to the outpatient and home health settings.
Educational Background
I became interested in Speech Pathology while an undergraduate student at UC Santa Barbara. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree, I went on to earn my Master of Science Degree at Boston University. I was drawn to Boston University because of the work being done at that time in the area of Aphasia Research .
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, our puppies, and outdoor recreational activities such as walking, hiking, and going to the beach.
